RHYTHM LAB PRIVACY POLICY

This privacy policy governs your use of the software application Rhythm Lab (“Application”) for mobile devices that was created by Jonathan Ensminger.

Description

Rhythm Lab (the Application) is a music education app designed to improve rhythm reading and tapping skills. Currently the application is available only for the iPad.

What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?

User Provided Information The Application does not collect any information from the user. Users can create custom rhythm patterns, worksheets, and user names and groups and export them as files to other apps or storage locations, but Rhythm Lab does not actively collect or store any user-generated information or content. The generation, location, and use of user-generated content is controlled completely by the user; Rhythm Lab has no process or procedure to collect this information.

For support purposes, the developer, Jonathan Ensminger, might receive personal email addresses, screenshots, or samples of user-generated content (pattern files, worksheets) from users. This information is used solely for product support, is not stored publicly or permanently, and is not shared with any third parties. The sharing of any of this information with the developer for support purposes is entirely voluntary and initiated entirely by the user.

Automatically Collected Information The Application does not collect any information automatically.

Does the Application collect precise real time location information of the device?

This Application does not collect precise information about the location of your mobile device.

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?

The application does not obtain information from the user, and no third parties have access to any such information.

What are my opt-out rights?

The user has complete control over whether to share information with the developer for support purposes. There is nothing from which to opt-out.

Data Retention Policy

Managing Your Information We do not retain any User Provided data other than support information sent voluntarily from the user. Support information will be retained for a reasonable amount of time, and will be removed from the local storage site upon request from the user. Otherwise, support information (email addresses, user-generated content, screenshots) will be deleted 12 months after the support request was received.

Children We do not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without their consent, he or she should contact us at support@rhythmlab-app.com . We will delete such information from our files immediately.

Security We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. For example, support requests and information are only stored locally, not on the cloud, and are not accessible online. Please be aware that, although we endeavor provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. We will notify you of any changes to our Privacy Policy by posting the new Privacy Policy here. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

By using the Application, you are consenting to our processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us. “Processing” means using or touching information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information, all of which activities will take place in the United States. If you reside outside the United States your information will be transferred, processed and stored there under United States privacy standards.
